Privacy policy

Parallax Sciences Inc. operates ReviewLoop. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Email address: to sign you in and to send the emails that come with your account: the monthly performance and research email for every member, and trade emails for Pro members.
- Email preference: whether you turned these emails off, and when you changed it.
- Watchlist: the companies you choose to watch, your alert setting (daily, weekly or off) and when we last sent you an alert. We use it only to send you watchlist alerts.
- Subscription records: your Stripe customer reference, plan status and renewal date.
- Sign-in records: when you signed in. Sign-in links and sessions are stored only as one-way hashes.
- Usage data: pages viewed, a random identifier stored in a cookie, and a one-way hash of your IP address. We use this to count visitors. It does not identify you by name.
- Server logs: like most websites, our web server records each request (IP address, the address requested, the time and the browser) for security and troubleshooting.
- Searches with no result: when a company search finds nothing, we keep the search text and a count, without anything that links it to you, to learn which companies people look for.
We do not store passwords, because there are none. We do not ask for your name. Payment details (card, billing name and address) are collected and held by Stripe, the payment company that processes our subscriptions. We never see or store your card number.
The browser extension
The Stock Health Score extension reads the address of the tab you are on only when you open it, and only to find a ticker in it. It sends that ticker, or the one you type, to reviewloop.dev to get the public score. It does not read the content of pages, does not keep your browsing history, and has no account or tracking. Each lookup reaches our server like a page view, so it appears in the server logs described above.
Who processes data for us
- Stripe, our payment company, for payments and billing.
- An email delivery provider, to send sign-in links and our emails.
- Hosting and content delivery providers, which run and deliver the site.
These providers may store data in other countries, including the United States, where local laws apply. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a cookie with a random identifier for visitor counts. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any email or on your account page.
- Delete your account from your account page. This removes your email address and account records from our database and cancels any subscription. Stripe keeps billing records as the law requires.
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or for a correction, by emailing us.
Retention
We keep account records while your account exists. Usage logs are kept for up to 24 months, web server logs for up to 15 days, and server backups for up to 28 days.
